Jeff Ewing joined K&A in November 2016 after spending more than 20 years working in and around higher education. He brings to our executive search practice the perspective of an experienced student affairs professional who has also worked in a President’s Office as well as for two regional accreditors. Working for Arcadia University, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and, most recently, the WASC Senior College and University Commission has enabled Mr. Ewing to develop an understanding of the many different constituencies to which college leaders answer. He has served as a Dean of Students and as the Executive Assistant to the President/Affirmative Action Officer where he coordinated the activities of the Board of Trustees and served as the campus contact for a presidential search. During Mr. Ewing’s entire career, he has paid particular attention to the search process in order to find candidates who are ultimately successful staff members. He is pleased to be able to bring his passion for the search process to K&A.
Mr. Ewing earned both a bachelor’s degree in Asian Studies and a master’s degree in Counselor Education from the University of Virginia. He has three children and one truly adorable granddaughter. In addition to his professional roles, Mr. Ewing has served as a member and president of a school board and has enjoyed being involved in other volunteer activities. He and his spouse are quite happy living in the San Francisco Bay Area.
