K&A Search-Related Sessions at NASPA 2017 March 11-15, 2017 - San Antonio, Texas

K&A is looking forward to joining colleagues and friends at the NASPA 2017 Conference in San Antonio, Texas in March. K&A’s search team is pleased to announce we will be presenting two programs with NASPA colleagues. Focusing on the conference theme of “Integrity, Innovation, Inclusion, and Inquiry,” we will be joined by colleagues from a range of institutions who have established high standards in executive searches and interim placement processes. Dr. Jan Walbert, K&A Vice President and Senior Consultant for Executive Search, will moderate these sessions.

Monday, March 13th, 2017: Hosting a panel addressing the NASPA Interim Executive Placement Service, Dr. Walbert will engage participants on “Enhancing Campus Leadership through Interim Executives.” The session will explore successful approaches for consideration when seeking an interim for a significant campus leadership role or when seeking an interim assignment — while focusing on the core question: are interim placements a sign of the times or a wave of the future? Dr. Walbert and her executive panel will help participants understand the value of interim placements and what strategies enhance the opportunities for all involved.

Tuesday, March 14th, 2017: Dr. Walbert will host a session focusing on executive searches and the benefits of effective vision in successful processes. The program, “Identifying Institutional Leaders for Future Success,” will remind participants that a key aspect of every executive search is identifying the most important and highest priority characteristics of individuals who will lead our campuses. The program includes colleagues who have had responsibility for enhancing campus excellence through high level searches. The panelists will share experiences, approaches, and challenges in elevating the criteria for successful candidates.
