Keeling & Associates (K&A) partners with NASPA-Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education to offer Interim Executive Placement Services (IEPS): reliable and high-quality services that provide experienced and proven candidates to NASPA member institutions looking to obtain an interim senior administrator. Our services are unique compared to alternative placement options because of the “hands-on” involvement of Richard P. Keeling, M.D., and Jan Walbert, Ed.D.: senior consultants with extensive executive-level leadership experience and in-depth knowledge of higher education and student affairs. Their knowledge and experience, coupled with NASPA’s position as the leading association for the advancement, health, and sustainability of the student affairs profession, come together to offer a truly innovative and effective service.

Through K&A A the NASPA Interim Executive Placement Services offers a large pool of skilled and qualified higher education administrators who are available to serve in interim positions across a range of colleges and universities. Through a careful and conscientious process, the K&A senior consultants work with each individual institution to define and fully understand that institution’s needs and the specific roles, responsibilities, and expectations of the interim position. Institutions provide essential factors including the scope of the portfolio, responsibilities of the role, expectations during the interim assignments,   salary and benefits, anticipated term, and accountability and reporting structure of the position.

We review potential candidates and submit a short list of suitable candidates to an institution. All candidates are interviewed, reviewed and considered by the senior consultants related to the priorities of the role and with the institutional needs in mind. We will assist as needed in the preparation and support of any candidate for an interim position as they move forward with their candidacy.
