David joined K&A in September 2018 as Director of Organizational Development. As an advisor to the principals, he will focus on internal operations strategy and external engagement with the K&A brand.
Previously, David worked at MASS Design Group (MASS), a global non-profit architecture firm that researches, builds, and advocates for architecture that promotes justice and human dignity. Since 2011, he held a succession of roles that prepare him well for his work with K&A, including leading teams and functions for people operations, executive support, IT, and most recently, fundraising & external affairs.
Always involved in his own education, David’s student leadership while at the School of Architecture, Art, and Historic Preservation at Roger Williams University (RWU) influenced a first of its kind offering among architecture schools in the nation. Since 2012, the Career Investment Program has provided more than 2 million dollars to RWU undergraduate and graduate architecture students for paid work experiences outside of coursework—on-campus with faculty, and off-campus with firms and organizations. These experiences allow students to fulfill their internship requirements for licensure in emerging practices, city agencies, and not for profits, as well as allowing more established firms to take on younger interns.
David earned his B.S. in Architecture from Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI, and resides in East Boston, Massachusetts.
