Beth Kotarski, DNP, CRNP-BC

Beth joins K&A with nearly three decades of leadership experience in higher education healthcare. Most recently, she served as the director of health and wellness services at Bryn Mawr College. Prior to that, Beth was executive director of university health services at Carnegie Mellon University; director of health and wellness services at Swarthmore College; and associate director of health services at Haverford College.
Beth believes that the work of campus health and wellbeing is iterative, collaborative, and most successful when centering an ethic of care. Through a public health lens, she works with campus partners to build relevant, evidence-based programs which emphasize the student experience, quality, cost effectiveness, risk management, and staff satisfaction.
On the national level, Beth has presented before a U.S. Congressional committee on behalf of college students affected by adverse childhood experiences and trauma. She has served on many American College Health Association committees, and published/presented on a variety of topics, including sexual and gender health, eating disorders, the role of the electronic health record, strategic planning, staff satisfaction, and safety and quality.
Beth earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Chester University, her Master of Science in Women’s and Gender Health/Nurse Practitioner from the University of Pennsylvania, her post-master certificate/Family Nurse Practitioner from Widener University, and her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from PennWest Clarion University. She lives in the Philadelphia area, enjoys cookie-baking with her four grandchildren, and is interested in creative writing. Beth is a self-proclaimed nursing and medical history geek.
